Untitled (July 2020)

A large-format expressionist nude depicts a reclining female figure with one arm raised, rendered in loose, energetic strokes of what appear to be oil pastels over a painted ground; a semi-transparent standing figure in cool blue-green lines looms behind her against a swirling field of red, orange, and purple. The mark-making is direct and layered, with no attempt to conceal the working process.
