Untitled (August 2020)

A gestural charcoal study of a standing female nude, rendered from approximately the knees up with energetic cross-hatching and scribbled mark-making that simultaneously models the torso and dissolves into abstract surround. The figure turns her head slightly to her left while the background is activated by loose, staccato strokes that frame without confining her form.
