Untitled (April 2021)

A direct bust-length portrait of a smiling young woman with long hair, rendered in oil pastel or soft pastel on paper; the face is built up in warm yellows, oranges, and pinks with careful attention to the eyes, while the hair and background dissolve into loose, energetic scribble marks in blue, black, purple, green, and red. The spontaneous, layered mark-making signals a speed or live-session approach rather than a laboured studio study.
