Barge On Dnieper River

An expressive oil painting of a riverside quay in late autumn, with clusters of bare and copper-toned trees flanking moored boats and a low white structure; turquoise water reflections dominate the foreground. The paint is laid on with vigorous, heavily loaded strokes in an alla-prima manner, building palpable texture across sky, foliage and water alike.
