A seated dog rendered in what appears to be drypoint or intaglio printmaking on textured paper, built from dense fibrous lines that model fur, shadow, and form across a tight monochrome range of deep black to pale grey. The subject is posed with one forepaw extended outward in an anthropomorphic gesture, giving the portrait an unsettling yet quietly tender psychological weight.
