A woman with long hair is seen from behind, standing amid outdoor café chairs and a table, with dense foliage implied above and around her. The work is built entirely from rapid, layered cross-hatching in coloured pencil or wax crayon — greens and blues for the environment, warm reds and oranges massed on the figure — giving the scene a vibrating, chromatic energy.
