The War

A dense, turbulent composition depicting a heap of fragmented mechanical or structural forms — beams, rods, and angular wreckage — rendered in high-contrast black ink with vigorous crosshatching and gestural mark-making. The technique suggests either a direct ink drawing or a monotype/lithographic print, with deep blacks dominating and staccato white highlights carving out the tangle of forms.
