Red Hook

A sweeping industrial scene — likely a mine or port facility — dominated by a large red-bodied machine or crane structure at left, with conveyor arms, scaffolding, and secondary equipment receding into a yellow-ochre mid-ground, all rendered in rapid cross-hatched ink over loose watercolor washes of red, yellow, blue-grey, and pink. The mark-making is energetic and layered, with gestural pen lines building volume and atmosphere across the whole composition.
