A three-quarter bust of a woman built from dense, overlapping layers of colored marker strokes on white paper clipped to a drawing board, with orange and magenta dominating the skin, deep blue massed in the hair, and a radiating starburst of dark marks anchoring the chest. Volume and light are constructed entirely through chromatic accumulation and directional scribbling rather than conventional line or shading.
One of 10 drawings from this night. All 10 as one unframed set: $420 instead of $600.
