A gestural charcoal or graphite study of a human arm and hand hanging at rest, rendered on cream paper with rapid, overlapping contour lines that build form and musculature simultaneously. The mark-making is energetic and exploratory, layering tonal shading over searching lines to suggest the weight and volume of the limb.
