Untitled (July 2017)

A gestural figure study of a nude female form rendered in bold black ink or paint on white paper, with rapid sweeping brush strokes that define the torso, neck, and tilted-back head through contrast and implied volume rather than outline. The marks are layered and directional, built up at speed, giving the work a charged, kinetic energy typical of direct-painting and speed-drawing practice.
