A charcoal portrait of a woman gazing upward and to the right, drawn on a spiral-bound sketchbook page with rapid, energetic mark-making. Dense cross-hatching and broad tonal smudging model the face and dark hair, while loose scribbled lines dissolve the shoulders into the white ground, conveying immediacy and psychological intensity.
