Untitled (April 2021)

A close-up portrait of a young woman rendered in mixed media on cream paper, combining markers, soft pastels, and what appears to be acrylic or gouache; the face is built up in cool blue-violet undertones with bursts of pink and rose blush, while the hair radiates in loose, energetic strokes of purple, red, orange, and blue. Gestural scribbles and abstract marks surrounding the figure suggest a speed-drawing process, and a faint hatched texture stamped across the forehead implies a printmaking or transfer element layered into the work.
