Two figures — one darker and crouching on the left, one upright with purple hair and a yellow garment on the right — engage in a close interaction against a fragmented urban backdrop of geometric color-blocks in blue, green, gray, and orange. The work is built through rapid, layered mark-making combining broad acrylic or gouache washes with energetic calligraphic lines in marker or ink, leaving the white ground visible in places.
One of 7 drawings from this night. The 6 on sale as one unframed set: $295 instead of $360.
