Male Figure I

A standing nude female figure rendered in rapid, overlapping gestural strokes with felt-tip or alcohol markers across a full spectrum of colours — red, orange, yellow, green, teal, violet and magenta — layered transparently so each pass shows through the next. The white ground is left bare, keeping the form weightless while the dense tangle of coloured contour lines gives the body simultaneous solidity and motion.
