A seated nude figure is built up through rapid overlapping pen-and-ink line work laid over dense multi-colored crayon hatching, breaking the body into angular, interlocking planes of ochre, blue, magenta, green, and gray. The energetic diagonal background strokes and a vertical yellow accent suggest a timed live-model session, likely at the Morgan Library drawing program.
