Untitled (September 2017)

A three-quarter profile bust of an older bearded man, rendered in oil pastel or soft pastel with densely interwoven gestural marks in reds, purples, blues, ochres, and dark greens that build the face and neck into a vibrant chromatic mass. The loose vertical blue strokes of a suggested interior background frame the figure, while the mark-making conveys both anatomical confidence and raw expressive energy.
