A bust-length portrait of a bearded male figure with wild, voluminous curly hair, rendered in charcoal and ink wash on heavily textured paper or canvas. Energetic, gestural mark-making creates strong tonal contrast between the luminous, reserved face and the surrounding dark, kinetic hair, lending the subject an intense, introspective presence.
