A back-view figure study built up in broad charcoal or graphite washes, then overlaid with energetic freehand lines in blue and red marker, the red cluster on the right functioning as a chromatic burst against the otherwise near-monochrome torso. The loose, layered mark-making is characteristic of direct speed-drawing practice: tonal masses laid first, structural and expressive lines driven over the top without correction.
