A close-up portrait of an older figure rendered in rapid, gestural ink strokes on spiral-bound sketchbook paper. The face is built from layered hatching and scratchy cross-contour lines that concentrate darkly around the eye sockets and mouth, leaving the forehead and cheeks largely open to the white of the page.
One of 8 drawings from this night. The 7 on sale as one unframed set: $332 instead of $420.
