A seated female nude is rendered in rapid, looping gestural line work against a pure black ground, with thin gray-white contours tracing the figure and the surface beneath her. Scattered red marks overlay the drawing throughout, heightening a visceral, charged atmosphere and pushing the piece beyond study into expressionist territory.
One of 17 drawings from this night. The 4 on sale as one unframed set: $211 instead of $240.
