Two or three human figures in dynamic poses are laid down in rapid, angular line work using yellow and blue colored pencil or wax crayon, their contours stacked and fragmented so that successive gesture passes read as a single Cubist-inflected tangle. Faint diluted-paint washes of light blue, pink, and green sit behind the linear marks, suggesting the sheet also served as a palette or underpainting ground.
