A nude figure sits upright in bed, propped against a pillow and cradling a smartphone, rendered in rapid overlapping strokes of coloured marker — salmon and pink for skin, teal and cyan for the pillow, dark brown for hair and outlines, with violet accents in the bedding. Form is built through loose hatching rather than contour, giving the work an immediate, observational energy.
