A reclining nude figure, head tilted back to the right, is built from dense overlapping hatch strokes in blue, green, red-orange, purple, and yellow-green ballpoint pens or markers on a spiral sketchbook page. The gestural cross-hatching simultaneously models the body and floods the surrounding field with chromatic energy, collapsing figure and ground into a single vibrating surface.
