A standing female nude seen from the upper torso in three-quarter view, rendered rapidly in multiple felt-tip marker colors — black, red, green, and violet lines layer over one another to build volume, with the head dissolved into a dense, energetic tangle of overlapping strokes while the torso is held in looser, sparser contours. The contrast between the chaotic color-cluster of the face and the quieter body outline is the compositional engine of the piece.
One of 14 drawings from this night. The 12 on sale as one unframed set: $504 instead of $720.
