Untitled (July 2017)

A left-facing profile portrait of a person rendered in layered, rapid hatching with what appear to be wax or oil-based colored pencils in teal, orange, purple, red, and dark blue over a white ground. The strokes are energetic and directional, building form through color cross-hatching rather than outline, with the shoulders and lower body dissolving into loose gestural scribbles.
