Untitled (April 2017)

A nude female figure is rendered from behind and slightly to the side, the spine and shoulder blade emerging from deep shadow into bare paper ground while long strands of hair trail downward in loose, calligraphic lines. The work is charcoal on paper, combining broad tonal smudging for volume with swift, confident linear marks that give the drawing an energetic, gestural quality.
