A three-quarter bust portrait of a woman built entirely from rapid, looping continuous lines in orange, green, blue, red, and grey ballpoint pen or fine marker on white paper. Form emerges through the density and colour layering of overlapping scribbles rather than any defined outline, with the face reading clearly from the concentrated mark-making at the eyes and nose.
One of 8 drawings from this night. The 7 on sale as one unframed set: $332 instead of $420.
