A tightly cropped frontal portrait of a human face constructed entirely from dense, rapid scribble-hatching in multiple ballpoint or felt-tip pen colors—navy, orange, red, teal, and ochre—layered over white paper. Heavy brows, half-closed eyes, a broad nose, and slightly parted lips emerge from the overlapping marks, projecting a mood of somber, inward-looking intensity.
One of 8 drawings from this night. The 7 on sale as one unframed set: $332 instead of $420.
