A frontal face — eyes, nose and mouth quickly sketched in black outline — is anchored at centre-left while dense, overlapping parallel hatching in cobalt blue, scarlet, magenta, lime green, orange, yellow and grey floods every corner of the sheet. The work is executed in felt-tip markers on white paper, building colour through rapid directional strokes that act simultaneously as background, form and atmosphere.
One of 18 drawings from this night. All 18 as one unframed set: $756 instead of $1,080.
