A frontal face is partially legible at the centre-left of a horizontal sheet, its eyes and nose coalescing from dense, overlapping bursts of rapid scribbling executed with multiple coloured ballpoint pens or felt-tip markers in blue, pink, magenta, yellow, orange, red, and green. The mark-making — vertical streaks, jagged waves, and looping spirals — simultaneously constructs and obscures the figure, leaving the portrait submerged in a saturated, all-over chromatic field.
One of 18 drawings from this night. All 18 as one unframed set: $756 instead of $1,080.
