A bust-length portrait of a figure with voluminous, loosely rendered hair or dreadlocks, built entirely from rapid overlapping loops and linear strokes in black, purple, teal, orange, and magenta marker on a white ground. The subject emerges from — and dissolves back into — an explosive radial field of gestural marks that fill the entire picture plane.
One of 18 drawings from this night. All 18 as one unframed set: $756 instead of $1,080.
