A reclining nude figure is captured in a dramatically foreshortened view that foregrounds the rounded torso, with the head and shoulders compressed into dense, shadowed marks in the upper portion of the sheet. The work is executed in black and red ink on white paper using rapid, looping gestural strokes and layered cross-hatching to model volume.
