Untitled (June 2017)

A composite of five gestural life-drawing studies made in charcoal and graphite on cream paper during a session at the Salmagundi Club, covering hours two and three of a longer pose sequence. The drawings range from close-up portrait heads with dense, scribbled mark-making to full torso studies, capturing mass and movement through rapid, overlapping contour lines and tonal smudging.
