A large-format charcoal gesture drawing that isolates a torso and extended arm in extreme foreshortening, culminating in a splayed, reaching hand at the lower centre. Multiple overlaid contour lines record the speed of observation — scribbled passages anchor dark tonal masses while single sweeping arcs define the limb's length, giving the sheet a raw kinetic energy.
One of 19 drawings from this night. The 13 on sale as one set: $546 instead of $780.
