A mixed-media portrait of a young woman with a wrapped head covering, her face built up in warm ochre, olive, and sienna tones with confident brushwork, set against a dense field of gestural blue and multicolored marker scribbling that functions as an energetic, semi-abstract ground. The diptych view documents an in-progress and a more advanced state of the same live-demonstration piece, with Copic markers visible on the easel ledge in the right panel.
One of 19 drawings from this night. The 13 on sale as one set: $546 instead of $780.
